You probably already know that your pressure washer can really help when it comes to heavy household chores. From a simple cleaning device to removing hard and heavy grease off sticky surfaces, we have relied on this versatile appliance to make our cleaning jobs a lot easier. After a couple of years, the normal wear and tear would surface, and this requires some pressure washer troubleshooting and repair. Here are some quick and handy tips to determine if you can perform some do it yourself solutions to your pressure washer or if it’s time to bring it to the repair shop!

Pressure not functioning normally: Most homemakers have complained of the deterioration of the quality of the pressure after several uses. This may be brought about by a damaged nozzle or leakage when it comes to the air inlet. Try to check these parts first before bringing it to your technician. It may just require a quick change of accessories and it can start running like new again.

Loud noise from the pressure washer pump: Nothing can be more annoying than a noisy pressure washer! While this may also be due to worn out parts, there is also a possibility that there is a lack of water supply inside the actual device. You should first try to clean out all the parts first before you plug it in again. Try to replace the bearings and test if it still makes that loud sound. There is a huge probability that this is due to some form of malfunction in the water pump.

These are just some of the most common problems of pressure washers, but you do not have to stress yourself out about buying a new one. It is also advisable for you to have your appliance checked regularly, ideally after a couple of months, to ensure that all the parts are running smoothly. When all else fails, you can contact your technician to help repair this handy and versatile device!

A pressure washer is a vital tool for any handyman, construction worker or anyone needing a tool that can help them do what they need. Pressure washers are used to clean the grime off just about everything. Whether you want to clean up you driveway, or your car, or even your house there is a pressure washer that will work for you. Some pressure washers can produce amazing amounts of pressure, up near 5000 PSI!

You do not need to own a pressure washer to enjoy the usefulness of one. Many home improvement stores such as Home Depot and Lowe’s sell pressure washers that can be used for everyday use. Your local home improvement and hardware stores may also allow you to rent a pressure washer, so that you can complete the job that you need without having to hire a company to come out with a pressure washer. There are three basic parts to most pressure washers. These are the motor, which drives water at high pressure through the nozzle, a high pressure hose, and a trigger water gun.

When you are using your pressure washer, you need to be sure that you have a source of water hooked up to it all times. If you do not have a constant source of water flowing into the machine, you run the risk of damaging the motor and other parts of the pressure washer. Depending on what you want to do with your pressure washer, there are several different shapes and sizes of nozzles. These nozzles allow you to push water out in the shape of a triangle, a high pressure thin pistol or one of many other shapes.

Using a pressure washer can be dangerous if you do not follow the safety instructions. The force of water emitted from the pressure washer is powerful enough to cause severe internal injuries to humans as well as animals. High end pressure washers have been known to chip concrete, and also cause damage to brick face.

Most consumer oriented pressure washers will require the use of gasoline or electricity. Gas powered units are extremely dangerous if using indoors, due to the amount of gasoline fumes that they will emit. Gasoline units can push out close to 4000 PSI, while electric units can push out around 2000 PSI. Using warm water in your power washer will allow you to clean extremely tough grime and filth, while cold water will allow you to finish the job in the quickest amount of time.

Using a pressure washer allows you to get rid of grime and filth that has built up over a long period of time. Some pressure washers allow you to use extreme amounts of force and chemicals to eliminate the source of the disgusting filth. However, you need to be careful when using a pressure washer. They are so powerful that they can cause damage if they come into contact with human skin, and can also cause many objects to break apart. Use appropriate safety measures to ensure your pressure washing task goes smoothly. photo credit: Bold Potato
