While you have probably enjoyed the benefits of having a tall glass of cold water during a hot summer day, you have not probably realized that cold water can also be the perfect accessory to pressure washing! There is a specific reason why cold water pressure washers have been a favorite by most store owners and managers of specific establishments.

These types of pressure washers have the ability to remove dirt, grime and stains quite easily. Gone are the days wherein you would have to scrub vigorously just to eliminate deep seated dirt on floors, walls or gutters! Unlike its other pressure washer counterparts, you can actually spray cold water at extremely high pressure levels to make sure that you are able to get rid of dust or other particles that may be in hard to reach areas. Aside from that, cold water pressure washers have also been the preferred choice because you do not need to heat up the device to get started. Since it lacks the heating mechanism required for steam or hot water versions, these kinds of washers are typically less expensive and will be friendly on your budget. How’s that for a budget-friendly, time-saving device?

While cold water may be a great aid for pressure washer cleaning, there may be instances wherein you would have to purchase specific cleaning aids to make the process faster and a lot more efficient. These machines may be perfect for those who just need a quick fix for their cleaning needs, but cold water may not be enough to help surfaces become 100% spotless. Despite that, this will still be the affordable alternative to your mop, scrubbing pad or garden hose. What are you waiting for? Throw away your big and heavy hose and try this one out for yourself!

Many people lack the knowledge of how to get the most out of their pressure washer. Are you frustrated that your pressure washer won’t work as well as it said? Are you tired of trying to fix your pressure washer? Well, here are some pressure washing tips to help you really get the most out of your pressure washer.

Choosing the right tip for your pressure washer is crucial. The tip that you choose for your pressure washer is extremely important. The lower the angle of the tip, the more powerful the water is. For example, you want to use a wider angle tip when washing dirt of siding, but a much more narrow tip when removing dirt and grime from a cement driveway.

Using chemicals with your pressure washer can provide some great results. Not only will it allow you to really dig into the dirt and grime, but it will also provide you with the power to remove nearly anything from any surface. You do need to be careful when using chemicals with your pressure washer. Make sure you only use chemicals that are approved for use in pressure washers. Also, make sure you pressure washer can use chemicals, as not all pressure washers are built to handle chemicals.

When cleaning an object with your pressure washer, start with your wand farther away from the object. If the object does not become clean, slowly move the wand closer to the object, and make sure you move the wand side to side. By starting to spray your object further away, you lower the risk of damaging it. Pressure washers are so powerful that they can break bones, and damage objects, be careful when operating your pressure washer.

Thinking ahead before you pressure wash an object can save you from damages and hassles. If you are spraying an object that is made out of wood or glass, be extremely careful as the power of the pressure washer can actually cause these objects to shatter.

Do not go overboard with your pressure washing. Pressure washing can feel a lot like painting and dry walling, if you enjoy it. That means that you can feel that you are doing a good job with your pressure washing, but you are really being extremely sloppy. When you are pressure washing, make smooth, gentle movements of your pressure washing wand over the area that you are pressure washing. This should allow you to cover three square feet in a single pass.

Pressure washing takes some time to get used to, much like any task does around your house. When you pressure wash, make sure you think before you act. The power that comes out of your pressure washer is extremely powerful. It cannot only damage your property, but if operated incorrectly, your pressure washer could damage your body. As long as you think ahead of time what you are going to be doing with your pressure washer, you should be able to complete your job quickly and cleanly. photo credit: SolYoung
