You probably already know that your pressure washer can really help when it comes to heavy household chores. From a simple cleaning device to removing hard and heavy grease off sticky surfaces, we have relied on this versatile appliance to make our cleaning jobs a lot easier. After a couple of years, the normal wear and tear would surface, and this requires some pressure washer troubleshooting and repair. Here are some quick and handy tips to determine if you can perform some do it yourself solutions to your pressure washer or if it’s time to bring it to the repair shop!

Pressure not functioning normally: Most homemakers have complained of the deterioration of the quality of the pressure after several uses. This may be brought about by a damaged nozzle or leakage when it comes to the air inlet. Try to check these parts first before bringing it to your technician. It may just require a quick change of accessories and it can start running like new again.

Loud noise from the pressure washer pump: Nothing can be more annoying than a noisy pressure washer! While this may also be due to worn out parts, there is also a possibility that there is a lack of water supply inside the actual device. You should first try to clean out all the parts first before you plug it in again. Try to replace the bearings and test if it still makes that loud sound. There is a huge probability that this is due to some form of malfunction in the water pump.

These are just some of the most common problems of pressure washers, but you do not have to stress yourself out about buying a new one. It is also advisable for you to have your appliance checked regularly, ideally after a couple of months, to ensure that all the parts are running smoothly. When all else fails, you can contact your technician to help repair this handy and versatile device!

A lot of people have asked me why I have recommended pressure washer units for business owners, and the answer is quite simple. In fact, I can sum it up in just three words — it saves time! With so many things to do, the last thing you want is to worry about having to spend time cleaning instead of doing something else that’s more productive. Whether you own a restaurant, a hotel, a boutique or even just a simple stall at the mall, keeping your office space clean is just as important as having a great product.

If you don’t believe me, try looking up customer reviews of places that were regarded as filthy and dirty. Sales can plummet. Longtime customers can leave. Because the average consumer would have a lot of options to choose from, a huge majority of them would not settle for a place that is deemed to be unsanitary. Buying a commercial pressure washer is not only to help keep your facilities clean. It also helps prevent your customers from subjecting themselves to health risks, which you do not want to be held accountable for.

Commercial pressure washers are great for cleaning. If you have been using your trusty hose for the longest time, using this would really be a breeze. It can cut your cleaning time in half, in fact, even less, once you are able to purchase the right brand for you! Dirt and grime can appear in the most unexpected places, and if rubbing and scrubbing is not your cup of tea, these pressure washer devices will save you from hard labor in the long run.

While there are residential pressure washers that may be good for small spaces, an industrial pressure washer is recommended for those who need to maintain places with a lot of people traffic. With customers coming in and out of your store, you can never control the dirt and grease that can build in it. Save yourself from brushing or scrubbing your floors clean. With these pressure washers, you can be finished cleaning in a matter of minutes!

A pressure washer is a vital tool for any handyman, construction worker or anyone needing a tool that can help them do what they need. Pressure washers are used to clean the grime off just about everything. Whether you want to clean up you driveway, or your car, or even your house there is a pressure washer that will work for you. Some pressure washers can produce amazing amounts of pressure, up near 5000 PSI!

You do not need to own a pressure washer to enjoy the usefulness of one. Many home improvement stores such as Home Depot and Lowe’s sell pressure washers that can be used for everyday use. Your local home improvement and hardware stores may also allow you to rent a pressure washer, so that you can complete the job that you need without having to hire a company to come out with a pressure washer. There are three basic parts to most pressure washers. These are the motor, which drives water at high pressure through the nozzle, a high pressure hose, and a trigger water gun.

When you are using your pressure washer, you need to be sure that you have a source of water hooked up to it all times. If you do not have a constant source of water flowing into the machine, you run the risk of damaging the motor and other parts of the pressure washer. Depending on what you want to do with your pressure washer, there are several different shapes and sizes of nozzles. These nozzles allow you to push water out in the shape of a triangle, a high pressure thin pistol or one of many other shapes.

Using a pressure washer can be dangerous if you do not follow the safety instructions. The force of water emitted from the pressure washer is powerful enough to cause severe internal injuries to humans as well as animals. High end pressure washers have been known to chip concrete, and also cause damage to brick face.

Most consumer oriented pressure washers will require the use of gasoline or electricity. Gas powered units are extremely dangerous if using indoors, due to the amount of gasoline fumes that they will emit. Gasoline units can push out close to 4000 PSI, while electric units can push out around 2000 PSI. Using warm water in your power washer will allow you to clean extremely tough grime and filth, while cold water will allow you to finish the job in the quickest amount of time.

Using a pressure washer allows you to get rid of grime and filth that has built up over a long period of time. Some pressure washers allow you to use extreme amounts of force and chemicals to eliminate the source of the disgusting filth. However, you need to be careful when using a pressure washer. They are so powerful that they can cause damage if they come into contact with human skin, and can also cause many objects to break apart. Use appropriate safety measures to ensure your pressure washing task goes smoothly. photo credit: Bold Potato

There are several factors that you should look at when determining the right pressure washer for you. Among these are the force of the pressure washer, the fuel type of the pressure washer and the intended use of the pressure washer.

When you purchase or rent a pressure washer you need to make sure that you are picking the right pressure washer for the job. Some pressure washers are much too powerful for cleaning the dirt and grime off your car. However, that same pressure washer might not have the needed force to clean the dirt off your driveway. The standard unit of measures for pressure in pressure washers is PSI. This is the amount of water per square inch that your pressure washer is spitting out. You can pick out many different types of nozzles that will allow you to change how much water and in what shape comes out of your pressure washer. This comes in handy when you are going to be using your pressure washer for a wide range of jobs. You can throw on a thin, pencil-like tip for jobs that require direct pressure, and a lot of it, or you can throw on a wider tip that will allow you to spray a larger area with less pressure.

Gas pressure washers are great for jobs where a lot of brute force is necessary. However, they can be troublesome to use inside due to the high amount of fumes that they omit. Gas powered pressure washers do operate at nearly twice the pressure of electric power washers. Electric pressure washers are great for smaller scale jobs, which are enclosed in buildings. Your electric pressure washer will still throw out a powerful 2,000 PSI!

Just like any other tool, the pressure washer has various accessories that you can choose to use with it. Some of the most common and most useful accessories that you can use with your pressure washer is a longer high pressure hose, a high pressure hose reel and a telescoping wand. You may find that there is not enough hose line with your pressure washer. Luckily, you can easily purchase additional high pressure hose which will allow you to reach many more areas without having to move your pressure washer. A hose reel is great for your pressure washer. It allows you to keep track of the excess high pressure hose and keep it organized as well! A telescoping wand can come in handy if you are planning on cleaning on cleaning elevated locations that are hard to reach. Brick above garages, and second story siding will no longer be unable to be cleaned.

When looking into purchasing a pressure washer, make sure you find one that is right for you. You should look at what type of fuel the pressure washer uses, the force of the pressure washer and what type of work the pressure washer was intended for. There are many different accessories for your pressure washer, don’t forget to purchase some that will help you accomplish your next weekend task today!

Many people lack the knowledge of how to get the most out of their pressure washer. Are you frustrated that your pressure washer won’t work as well as it said? Are you tired of trying to fix your pressure washer? Well, here are some pressure washing tips to help you really get the most out of your pressure washer.

Choosing the right tip for your pressure washer is crucial. The tip that you choose for your pressure washer is extremely important. The lower the angle of the tip, the more powerful the water is. For example, you want to use a wider angle tip when washing dirt of siding, but a much more narrow tip when removing dirt and grime from a cement driveway.

Using chemicals with your pressure washer can provide some great results. Not only will it allow you to really dig into the dirt and grime, but it will also provide you with the power to remove nearly anything from any surface. You do need to be careful when using chemicals with your pressure washer. Make sure you only use chemicals that are approved for use in pressure washers. Also, make sure you pressure washer can use chemicals, as not all pressure washers are built to handle chemicals.

When cleaning an object with your pressure washer, start with your wand farther away from the object. If the object does not become clean, slowly move the wand closer to the object, and make sure you move the wand side to side. By starting to spray your object further away, you lower the risk of damaging it. Pressure washers are so powerful that they can break bones, and damage objects, be careful when operating your pressure washer.

Thinking ahead before you pressure wash an object can save you from damages and hassles. If you are spraying an object that is made out of wood or glass, be extremely careful as the power of the pressure washer can actually cause these objects to shatter.

Do not go overboard with your pressure washing. Pressure washing can feel a lot like painting and dry walling, if you enjoy it. That means that you can feel that you are doing a good job with your pressure washing, but you are really being extremely sloppy. When you are pressure washing, make smooth, gentle movements of your pressure washing wand over the area that you are pressure washing. This should allow you to cover three square feet in a single pass.

Pressure washing takes some time to get used to, much like any task does around your house. When you pressure wash, make sure you think before you act. The power that comes out of your pressure washer is extremely powerful. It cannot only damage your property, but if operated incorrectly, your pressure washer could damage your body. As long as you think ahead of time what you are going to be doing with your pressure washer, you should be able to complete your job quickly and cleanly. photo credit: SolYoung
